Football Game Preview: South Pontotoc Cougars vs. Tishomingo County Braves + How To Watch

The South Pontotoc Cougars will square off against the Tishomingo County Braves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

South Pontotoc's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Corinth on Friday. They had to suffer through a 63-0 loss at the hands of the Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi football rankings (they are ranked 225th, while the Warriors are ranked 108th).

Meanwhile, Tishomingo County was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a blow against Adamsville, falling 41-14. The game was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly the Braves struggled afterwards.

South Pontotoc's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Tishomingo County, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

South Pontotoc lost to Tishomingo County at home by a decisive 21-7 margin in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. Can the Cougars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
