Baseball Recap: Whitewater Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Whitewater entered their tilt with Fayette County on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Tigers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 18-0 last Friday.

Whitewater's win bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Fayette County, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-17.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Whitewater will challenge rival Trinity Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Wildcats 3.9, the Lions 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Fayette County is set to square off against their familiar foe LaGrange at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
