Football Game Preview: Coppell Cowboys vs. North Crowley Panthers + How To Watch

The Coppell Cowboys will challenge the North Crowley Panthers at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Coppell sitting on seven straight victories and North Crowley on eight.

Coppell is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 38-7 win over Richardson. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Cowboys' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Eagles are ranked 138th).

Carter Zingelmann continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 238 yards and three TDs while completing 88.2% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (167.3). Dylan McAfee was in the mix as well, providing Coppell with two touchdowns.

Meanwhile, North Crowley really took it to Midland Legacy for the full four quarters, racking up a 63-17 victory. With the Panthers ahead 42-3 at the half, the game was all but over already.

North Crowley's win came from a few key players Coppell will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kade Smith, who threw for 133 yards and three TDs on only nine passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Whitmore, who picked up 75 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Coppell's record now sits at 10-1. As for North Crowley, their record is now 11-1.

Coppell couldn't quite get it done against North Crowley in their previous meeting back in November of 2024 as they fell 35-24. Can the Cowboys avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
