Soccer Recap: Newton Takes a Loss

Newton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 6-0 to the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs. While losing is never fun, Newton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa soccer rankings (they are ranked 98th, while Dallas Center-Grimes are ranked 22nd).

Newton's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7-5. As for Dallas Center-Grimes, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Newton will head out to square off against Carlisle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Dallas Center-Grimes, they will venture away from home to take on Muscatine at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
