Football Recap: Nick Drewnowski Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Rondout Valley

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask New Paltz). They walked away with a 19-8 win over the Rondout Valley Ganders on Friday. The Huguenots have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Ganders, too.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead New Paltz to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nick Drewnowski, who threw for 185 yards and one TD on only 16 passes, and also rushed for 69 yards. That's the most rushing yards Drewnowski has posted since back in October of 2024. 158 of Drewnowski's passing yards were hauled in by Malcolm Dillehay.

New Paltz's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Rondout Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

New Paltz wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 56-7 defeat against Port Jervis on the 4th. Rondout Valley has also already played their next game (against Liberty), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
