Basketball Game Preview: Greater Nanticoke Area Trojans vs. Holy Redeemer Royals

Greater Nanticoke Area is 2-8 against Holy Redeemer since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Greater Nanticoke Area Trojans will venture away from home to face off against the Holy Redeemer Royals at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Greater Nanticoke Area is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Hanover Area, posting a 63-28 victory. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 290th, while the Hawkeyes are ranked 609th), the result on Monday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Holy Redeemer had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 57-25 win over the Warriors.

Greater Nanticoke Area is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.3 points per game. As for Holy Redeemer, their victory bumped their record up to 11-3.
