Baseball Recap: Coastal HomeSchool Hurricanes vs. Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics Wildcats
Coastal HomeSchool took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Coastal HomeSchool Hurricanes came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics Wildcats on Saturday, sneaking past 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Hurricanes have posted against the Wildcats since April 10, 2021.
Carson Little made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Jace Poppell was excellent, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He has become a key player for Coastal HomeSchool: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-5 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Saul Issa, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
The win got Coastal HomeSchool back to even at 6-6. As for Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics, they now have a losing record of 5-6.
Looking ahead, Coastal HomeSchool will challenge Andrew Jackson Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics, they will square off against Stall at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
