Baseball Recap: Franklin Towne Now 10-2 over Last 12 Games

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Franklin Towne walked away with it. They skirted past the Frankford Pioneers 7-6. This was a revenge game for the Warriors: when they faced off against the Pioneers back in April, they had to take a 12-2 loss.

Franklin Towne got a great performance from Daniel LaSalle as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over six innings pitched.

At the plate, Franklin Towne let Matthew Lawless and Jayden Ocasio run wild. Lawless went 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Ocasio went 4-for-5 with one stolen base and two RBI. Those four hits gave Ocasio a new career-high. Jaedyn Sanchez was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Franklin Towne is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Frankford, their defeat ended a 13-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-3.

As of now, neither Franklin Towne nor the Pioneers have any future games scheduled.
