Sweet Water scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 26-21 to the McIntosh Demons. The loss leaves the Bulldogs still looking for their first win of the season.

Despite the defeat, Sweet Water had strong showings from Deion Blanks, who rushed for 128 yards and one score on only nine carries, and Zyreonne Hamilton, who rushed for 36 yards and one touchdown.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead McIntosh to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brayden Dixon, who threw for 216 yards and a pair of TDs. The Demons' leading receiver Joshua Harris was Dixon's top target yet again, picking up 120 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Sweet Water's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for McIntosh, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sweet Water will take on Georgiana at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 38 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for McIntosh, they will challenge Calhoun at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
