Preview: Highland Scots vs. Mira Monte Lions
Highland and Mira Monte are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2017, but not for long. The Highland Scots will head out on the road to face off against the Mira Monte Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 58-31, which was the final score in Highland's tilt against East Bakersfield on Tuesday.
The losing side was boosted by Eternety Proctor, who scored 9 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sari Scroggs, who scored 6 points.
Meanwhile, Mira Monte came up short against Garces Memorial on November 15th and fell 31-22. Mira Monte has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Their wins bumped Highland to 1-3 and East Bakersfield to 3-0.
Highland ended up a good deal behind Mira Monte in their previous matchup back in February of 2022, losing 44-28. Can Highland avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
