Recap: Lanesville Eagles vs. Floyd Central Highlanders
The Lanesville Eagles won the last time they faced the Floyd Central Highlanders, and things went their way on Thursday too. Lanesville secured a 47-41 W over Floyd Central. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Lanesville.
Leading Lanesville to victory were Ava Kerr and Hadley Crosier. Kerr scored 17 points along with six rebounds and four steals, while Crosier scored 14 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Crosier hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Hylton Brumley, who scored seven points.
Lanesville pushed their record up to 16-1 with that victory, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 28.29 points. As for Floyd Central, their loss dropped their record down to 11-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lanesville will take on Crothersville at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Crothersville comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Floyd Central, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against New Albany at 7:30 p.m. New Albany will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 248th, while Floyd Central is ranked 78th).
