Soccer Game Preview: LaGrange Academy vs. Heritage

LaGrange Academy will venture away from home to take on the Heritage Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. LaGrange Academy's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

LaGrange Academy lost 7-1 to Atlanta Jewish Academy on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Heritage kept a clean sheet against Konos Academy on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Condor by a score of 2-0. Given Heritage's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 75th, while Konos Academy are ranked 304th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cole Lochore was the driving force of Heritage's attack as he scored both of Heritage's goals, bringing his season total up to three goals.

Heritage pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those four contests. As for LaGrange Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

LaGrange Academy suffered a grim 11-1 defeat to Heritage when the teams last played back in February. Can LaGrange Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
