Baseball Recap: Troy Victorious

Troy took an 11-run defeat the last time they faced off against Queensbury, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Flying Horses skirted past the Spartans 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Flying Horses.

Kayne Behan made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Troy is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-10 otherwise. Behan was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Nate Harkin, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April.

Troy's victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Queensbury, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Troy nor Queensbury have any future games scheduled.
