Soccer Game Preview: Polytechnic vs. Chadwick

The Polytechnic Panthers are taking a road trip to challenge the Chadwick Dolphins at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Polytechnic's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Flintridge Prep on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Chadwick has been on a difficult stretch since their win on December 8. They came up short against Torrance on Wednesday, falling 6-1. While losing is never fun, Chadwick can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 602nd, while Torrance are ranked 35th).

Chadwick's goal came courtesy of Brooke Pyles, who's now up to three this season.

Polytechnic's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Chadwick, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6-2.

Polytechnic beat Chadwick by a goal in their previous meeting back in January of 2025, winning 2-1. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Dolphins have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
