The Illini Bluffs Tigers are taking a road trip to square off against the Princeville Princes at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Illini Bluffs is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

It was a proper cat-fight when Illini Bluffs took on Cuba/Spoon River Valley on Thursday. The Tigers fell 9-4 to the Wildcats.

Illini Bluffs saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Fargher, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Annawan-Wethersfield hit Princeville with a five-run third inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Princes lost 11-1 to the Titans. The Princes' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Everything went Illini Bluffs' way against Princeville in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, as Illini Bluffs made off with a 15-6 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
