Football Recap: Burlingame Skates Past Centre with Ease

While Burlingame put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Centre. The Bearcats took their matchup with ease, bagging a 48-0 victory over the Cougars. The win continues a trend for the Bearcats in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won four in a row.

Danny Cain had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 164 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes, and also rushing for 58 yards. Burlingame's leading receiver Drake Skirvin was Cain's top target yet again, picking up 71 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Burlingame didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jude Aguilar and Cain. Aguilar got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Burlingame's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Centre, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Burlingame will venture away from home to square off against Lebo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bearcats will need to watch out since the Wolves have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games. As for Centre, they will square off against Rural Vista [Hope/White City] at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
