Basketball Game Preview: Wyalusing Valley Rams vs. Troy Trojans

For the first time this season, Wyalusing Valley will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will head out to take on the Troy Trojans at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Wednesday, Wyalusing Valley took their contest with ease, bagging a 74-12 win over Sayre. With the Rams ahead 52-8 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Meanwhile, Troy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 51-36 victory over the Panthers.

Wyalusing Valley's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Troy, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Wyalusing Valley was taken down by Troy 62-27 when the teams last played back in January. Thankfully for the Rams, Kailyn Sterling (who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
