Notus piles up the points against Centennial Baptist

The Notus Pirates gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They breezed by Centennial Baptist at home to the tune of 75-23. That's another feather in the cap for Notus, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Notus' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Grayson Benitez led the charge by scoring 19 points along with 5 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Zeb Porter, who scored 17 points.

Notus' win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Centennial Baptist, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Notus won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Compass Charter at 7:30 p.m. on November 28th. As for Centennial Baptist, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Greenleaf Friends Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
