Marion is 9-1 against Mt. Vernon since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Wildcats are taking a road trip to face off against the Rams at 6:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Marion and five for Mt. Vernon.

Marion fell victim to Murphysboro and their airtight defense on Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Devils. That's two games in a row now that Marion have lost by exactly two goals.

Meanwhile, Mt. Vernon also failed to score in their most recent game. They fell 2-0 to Richland County on Saturday.

Mt. Vernon's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Marion, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-14.

Marion couldn't quite get it done against Mt. Vernon when the teams last played two weeks ago as they fell 3-1. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
