Volleyball Recap: Lakeside Vikings vs. East Jackson Eagles
The Lakeside Vikings sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the East Jackson Eagles on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.
It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Lakeside got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-12, 23-25, 15-11.
Chloe Kehrli paced Lakeside's offense, picking up ten kills. Kehrli got some help from Ty Kleffner and her 21 assists. Juliet Mount controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
Lakeside's win bumped their record up to 23-6. As for East Jackson, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-23 record this season.
