Lone Grove extended their winning streak (dating back to last season) to 30 on Monday, bumping them up to 6-0. They walked away with a 5-1 win over the Plainview Indians. The Longhorns have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Indians, too.

Having lost for the first time this season, Plainview fell to 5-1. The contest marked their lowest-scoring match so far this season.

For Plainview's part, they got a good showing from Jacie Connel, who pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Connel has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Plainview saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ally Brown, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Bailey Fincher also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Looking ahead, Lone Grove is taking a road trip to face off against Sulphur at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Plainview, they will be playing at home against Perry at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
