Soccer Recap: Upper Lake Comes Up Short

Upper Lake managed to keep up with Roseland Collegiate Prep until halftime on Monday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Cougars lost 6-2 to the Grizzlies. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Roseland Collegiate Prep this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-2 back in September.

Blake Sneed wasn't going to let Roseland Collegiate Prep walk away unscathed as he scored both of Upper Lake's goals, bringing his season total up to two goals.

Upper Lake has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 13 of their last 15 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season. As for Roseland Collegiate Prep, the win got them back to even at 8-8-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Upper Lake will take on Middletown at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Upper Lake will be up against Middletown's rather soft defense (which has allowed three goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Roseland Collegiate Prep, they will square off against Tomales at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
