After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Montezuma-Cortez, Basalt was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the Battle Mountain Huskies 19-5. That's more bragging rights for the Longhorns, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Hadley Ivy was excellent, going 2-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and one triple. Elsie Mile was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Basalt kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 4-2 when they post 11 or more hits.

Basalt's record now sits at 4-11. As for Battle Mountain, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.

Basalt didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 14-2 defeat against Montrose on the 20th. As for Battle Mountain, they have also already played their next game, an 11-0 loss against Durango on the 19th.
