Softball Game Preview: Jasper County Hurricanes vs. Social Circle Redskins

Jasper County is 1-9 against Social Circle since September of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Hurricanes will look to defend their home field against the Redskins at 5:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Jasper County comes in on three and Social Circle on five.

One must be Jasper County's lucky number: they beat Towers with that score not once but twice on Tuesday. The Hurricanes didn't even let the Titans on the board, marking the Hurricanes' second-straight 1-0 shutout.

Meanwhile, Social Circle posted their closest victory since September 9, 2024 on Wednesday. They won by a run and slipped past Oconee County 7-6.

Social Circle's win bumped their record up to 17-3. As for Jasper County, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Jasper County might still be hurting after the 10-1 loss they got from Social Circle in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. Can the Hurricanes avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
