Basketball Recap: Youngsville Takes a Loss

Youngsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 24th straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 56-17 defeat at the hands of the Cambridge Springs Devils. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 55-20 back in January.

Youngsville's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Cambridge Springs, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Youngsville will challenge Cochranton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cochranton will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Youngsville surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cambridge Springs, they will take on Maplewood at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Cambridge Springs knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Maplewood likes a good challenge.
