Softball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Adairsville

Adairsville extended their winning streak to four on Thursday, bumping them up to 7-4. They never let the Ridgeland Panthers get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. Give the Tigers' pitching crew some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.

Ashlyn Carlton was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.

In other batting news, Ashlynn Durden and Maddie Baggett did most of the damage at the plate: Durden went 2-for-4 with one home run, while Baggett went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That home run was Durden's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Alivia Joslin, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Adairsville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. The last time their batting average was this high was back in August of 2024.
