Baseball Recap: Airport Triumphs

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Airport walked away with it. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Hartsville Red Foxes on Saturday. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 9-7 victory on Thursday.

The team relied heavily on Gabe Ingram, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Braden Gross was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

The win made it two in a row for Airport and bumps their season record up to 24-6. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Hartsville, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 27-9.

As of now, neither Airport nor the Red Foxes have any future games scheduled.
