Peru's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Whitko Wildcats a 10-0 shutout. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by seven runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Isaac Braley, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and one stolen base. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was William Rodriguez, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Peru kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Peru's win bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Whitko, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Peru will square off against Logansport at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Whitko, they will take on Prairie Heights at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
