Basketball Game Recap: Santa Clara Saints vs. Claremont Wolfpack

This season hasn't been kind to the Santa Clara Saints, who are still winless after their seventh matchup. They were beaten by Claremont 63-9 on Wednesday.

Despite the defeat, Santa Clara saw an underclassman step up: Alyssa Olmos scored 7 points along with 6 rebounds. Olmos scored a full 77.8% of Santa Clara's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Santa Clara's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Claremont, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Santa Clara will take on Cajon on Friday. Cajon comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. Claremont is on the road again on Friday and play against Downey at 6:00 p.m. on November 24th.
