Basketball Recap: Brawley Skates Past Calipatria with Ease

Brawley waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They breezed by the Calipatria Hornets to the tune of 60-30. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Brawley got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Isabella Trujillo out in front who posted 11 points. That's the most points Trujillo has posted since back in December of 2024. Dayanna Ortiz was another key player, putting up nine points.

Brawley's win bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Calipatria, their defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brawley has already played their next contest (against Holtville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Calipatria has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Southwest EC.
