Softball Game Preview: Franklin County Lions vs. Stephens County Indians

The Franklin County Lions will face off against the Stephens County Indians at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Lions on Tuesday. Franklin County took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hebron Christian. Franklin County has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, after only one run in their last contest, Stephens County made sure to put some runs up on the board against Rabun County on Wednesday. The Indians were the clear victors by a 15-4 margin over the Wildcats. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won nine matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

With the victory, Stephens County broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 12-12. As for Franklin County, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11.

Franklin County came up short against Stephens County when the teams last played back in September, falling 11-8. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
