Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Northside). They were the clear victors by an 18-3 margin over the Sumter County Panthers on Tuesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Ellijah Rozier, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. He is becoming a predictor of Northside's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 3-15 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Emerson Rugama, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Northside always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .677. The last time their OBP was this high was back in February.

Northside's win bumped their record up to 5-16. As for Sumter County, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Northside beat the Panthers by a score of 15-0 later that day.
