Football Recap: Lacrosse Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Connor Spreier and Christian Rush

LaCrosse lost against Central Plains back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Leopards fell 24-20 to the Oilers. The loss put an end to the Leopards' undefeated start to the season.

LaCrosse's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Christian Rush, who rushed for 102 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and Connor Spreier, who rushed for 34 yards and one score. Rush is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 102 every time he's taken the field this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, LaCrosse fell to 2-1. As for Central Plains, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.

LaCrosse and Central Plains will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Leopards are set to square off against their familiar foe Ellis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Central Plains will take on rival Solomon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
