Baseball Recap: Lakeside Takes a Loss

Lakeside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 10-5 to the Greenbrier Wolfpack. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolfpack this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-6 last Tuesday.

Tobias Mahomes was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Lakeside's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Greenbrier, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-10 record this season.

While Lakeside had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
