Football Recap: Shawnee Mission North Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Shawnee Mission North extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to seven on Friday, dropping them down to 0-5. They lost 31-10 to the Olathe Northwest Ravens. The game marked the Bison's lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

As for Olathe Northwest, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1. 31 seems to be a good number for them as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Among those leading the charge was Brody Comfort, who rushed for 63 yards and one TD on only six carries, and also threw for 83 yards and one touchdown. That's the most passing yards he has posted since back in October of 2024. Tyler Manzella got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Looking ahead, Shawnee Mission North will face off against Shawnee Mission East at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Olathe Northwest, they will host Shawnee Mission West on Friday. The Ravens will be up against the Vikings' rather soft defense (which has allowed 39.2 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
