Seneca hadn't done well against Branson recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Indians skirted past the Pirates 2-1. For the Indians, this counts as revenge for the 10-7 victory the Pirates walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Abby Jamros made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs and one double.

Jamros wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kordy Hancock, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

The win made it two in a row for Seneca and bumps their season record up to 4-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Branson, their defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seneca will challenge Nevada at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.71 runs per game on average), something the Indians will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Branson, they will take on Hillcrest at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
