Soccer Recap: San Gorgonio Comes Up Short

San Gorgonio entered their contest against Rim of the World on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The San Gorgonio Spartans fell just short of the Rim of the World Fighting Scots by a score of 1-0. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Spartans came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 446th, while the Fighting Scots are ranked 896th).

San Gorgonio's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 6-1-2 and their overall record down to 16-3-4. As for Rim of the World, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-13-2.

As of now, neither San Gorgonio nor Rim of the World have any future games scheduled.
