The Holmes Aces will face off against the Northeastern Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Holmes is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.

On Wednesday, Holmes came up short against First Flight and fell 7-4. The Aces haven't had much luck with the Nighthawks recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Myles Cobb made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Meanwhile, Northeastern hadn't done well against Holmes recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over the Aces.

Holmes' defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Northeastern, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
