The Holmes Aces the visiting Northeastern Eagles baseball team by a count of 8-4 in Friday's non-league test.

The Aces now own a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they host Camden County for a non-league test on Tuesday, March 24. Holmes will play a Bruins team coming off a 23-6 non-league win over Pasquotank County (Elizabeth City, NC). The Bruins record now stands at 6-3.

With the defeat, Northeastern falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Currituck County (Barco, NC) to encounter the Knights in a Northeastern Coastal 3A/4A/5A outing on Tuesday, March 24.
