The Mesa Ridge Grizzlies will head out on the road to take on the Vista Ridge Wolves at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Mesa Ridge will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
Mesa Ridge barely beat Canon City the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Grizzlies put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 20-8 victory on Thursday. Considering the Grizzlies have won nine contests by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
DonnaPaola Martinez made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. Martinez was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.
