Football Game Preview: Wesson Cobras vs. Enterprise Yellowjackets

For the first time this season, Wesson will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will venture away from home to take on the Enterprise Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Enterprise will be up against a hot Wesson squad: the team just extended their winning streak to five. The Cobras blew past Lawrence County 36-7 on Friday. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 27-7.

Damarion Smith was a one-man wrecking crew as he picked up 127 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 64 yards.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Enterprise, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They never let West Lincoln get on the board and left with a 48-0 win on Friday. The Yellowjackets' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Wesson's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Enterprise, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Everything came up roses for Wesson against Enterprise in their previous meeting back in October of 2020, as the squad secured a 38-8 victory. In that game, the Cobras amassed a halftime lead of 25-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
