Soccer Recap: Maywood CES Victorious

With a playoff win on the line, Maywood CES rose to the challenge on Friday. They came out on top against the Carson Colts by a score of 2-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Wolfpack were the better team in the second half.

Joanna Rosas and Jannahy Villalpando scored both of Maywood CES' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

The victory made it two in a row for Maywood CES and bumps their season record up to 11-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two matches. As for Carson, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-12.

Coming up, Maywood CES will challenge East Valley at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. East Valley will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Maywood CES surely won't give up without a fight. Carson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
