Basketball Recap: Delhi Takes a Loss

Delhi was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 26th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 47-11 loss at the hands of the Stone Ridge Christian Knights. The Hawks were probably out for revenge after losing 47-9 to them when the teams met back in December of 2019, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Stone Ridge Christian found their leader in sophomore Bella Ewing, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 11 steals. That makes it 12 consecutive games in which Ewing has scored at least a third of Stone Ridge Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Tailynn Dungy, who posted two points and ten steals.

Delhi's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Stone Ridge Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season.

Delhi will challenge Gustine at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Delhi is facing Gustine at the right time seeing as Gustine is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Stone Ridge Christian, they are taking a road trip to take on Westlake Charter at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
