Football Recap: Klein's Undefeated Season over After Five Games + How To Watch

If Klein was feeling good fresh off their 44-20 takedown of Klein Forest last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bearkats fell 36-30 to the Klein Collins Tigers on Friday. The Bearkats have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Loss or not, Klein got some senior leadership from Edward Kelly Jr and Grant Stratta. Kelly Jr rushed for 109 yards and two scores on only 13 carries, while Stratta rushed for 119 yards and one touchdown on only 12 carries. Stratta's longest rush was for an incredible 70 yards.

Braydon Schoggin produced another solid performance rushing for 150 yards and four TDs while picking up 7.5 yards per carry, and also throwing for 121 yards and one touchdown while completing 75% of his passes for Klein Collins. That's the most rushing yards Schoggin has posted since back in November of 2024.

Having lost for the first time this season, Klein fell to 4-1. As for Klein Collins, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Klein wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 53-47 defeat against Tomball on the 3rd. As for Klein Collins, they have also already played their next game, a 36-35 loss against Klein Oak on the 3rd.
