Soccer Recap: Notre Dame (SO) Comes Up Short

Notre Dame (SO) fell victim to Aliso Niguel and their airtight defense on Saturday. They fell just short of the Aliso Niguel Wolverines by a score of 1-0. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Knights came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 20th, while the Wolverines are ranked 344th).

Having lost for the first time this season, Notre Dame (SO) fell to 6-1-2. As for Aliso Niguel, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-3-1.

Notre Dame (SO) will be home for the holidays to greet Bishop Amat at 12:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Aliso Niguel, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on El Toro at 12:00 p.m. on January 2, 2025.
