After both having extra time off, the Arbor View Aggies and the Liberty Patriots will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Arbor View sitting on seven straight wins and Liberty on nine.
Arbor View is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Las Vegas, who was ranked 16th at the time (Arbor View was ranked fifth). The Aggies blew past the Wildcats, posting a 57-28 victory. The Aggies' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Thaddeus Thatcher produced another solid effort throwing for 307 yards and four touchdowns while completing 84.2% of his passes, and also rushing for 43 yards. He is becoming a predictor of Arbor View's success: when he posts at least three passing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 2-3 when he doesn't). A healthy portion of Thatcher's aerial production (104 yards to be exact) went to Jayden Williams, who also brought in three receiving touchdowns.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Liberty and Coronado, and Liberty kept the tradition alive. The Patriots blew past the Cougars 42-21 back in October. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Patriots just coasted through the last quarter.
Arbor View better keep an eye on Selby Griego. He was instrumental in Liberty's win, throwing for 221 yards and three TDs, while also rushing for 73 yards and one score. Those 221 passing yards gave Griego a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Anthony Alberro, who rushed for 121 yards and one touchdown.
Liberty's run defense was locked in: Coronado could only muster 2.2 yards per carry. The team can thank Carter Christensen for the heroic effort on defense: he. Liberty's run defense has been on the up-and-up: they allowed 4.6 yards per carry earlier this season, but they've only allowed 11.03 on average over their last five games.
Liberty didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Rysen Dacosin-Arcala led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one interception the last three times he's played.
Arbor View's record is now 7-3. As for Liberty, their record now sits at 9-1.
