Basketball Game Preview: Marshall Barristers vs. Bravo Knights

Marshall is 3-0 against Bravo since January of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Marshall Barristers will head out to face off against the Bravo Knights at 4:30 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Marshall is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Eagle Rock just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 43-32 to the Eagles. While the Barristers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles 17-7 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, Bravo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 33-14 bruising from Franklin. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1015th, while the Panthers are ranked 489th).

Marshall's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-8. As for Bravo, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-12.

Marshall was able to grind out a solid win over Bravo in their previous matchup two weeks ago, winning 40-33. The rematch might be a little tougher for Marshall since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
