Basketball Recap: Camila Castillo's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Wasco over Delano

Fans were treated to a Battle of the Tigers on Tuesday. The Wasco Tigers fell just short of the Delano Tigers by a score of 46-43. Wasco has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wasco's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Camila Castillo, who went 5-for-12 en route to 10 points and five steals. Castillo has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Victoria Carreno, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds.

Wasco's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Delano, their victory bumped their record up to 6-14.

Wasco has already played their next matchup, a 59-36 loss against Taft on the 6th. As for Delano, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-43 defeat against McFarland on the 6th.
