It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Stuart ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They pulled ahead with a 50-49 photo finish over the Twin Loup Wolves. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Broncos have posted since January 28th.

Stuart's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kyra Tubbs, who posted 20 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Tubbs has scored at least a third of the Broncos' points. Paityn Shefflied was another key player, putting up eight points along with seven steals and five boards.

Stuart was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

When it comes to explaining why Twin Loup lost, don't look at Jaelynn Blackburn. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 19 points and 21 rebounds. That was a full 38.8% of the Wolves' points, marking the third time in a row Blackburn has earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Carsen Vincent, who had ten points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Stuart's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Twin Loup, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Stuart has already played their next contest (against Cody-Kilgore), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Twin Loup, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 60-24 defeat against Brady on the 13th.
