Evans proved they can win big last Friday (they won by eight) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Lakeside Panthers. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won eight in a row.

Evans saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryson Crewe, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Landon May was another, scoring a run and stealing Two bases.

Evans' victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Lakeside, they dropped their record down to 4-4 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Evans will have a chance to go back-to-back against Lakeside: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
